How stunnng is this room!
The pops of royal blue are a highlight for me
and can you see that this royal blue
is much warmer than the cooler grey blues of late?
Colour contrast …
paired with different natural textures
of wood, metal & wool
make for an exciting Design!
xx
xx
Here is another room
accessorisd with blue
but the warmer blues in the first pic have red in them …
they’re new, on trend …
and very, very striking!
x
xx
Not everyone can afford to change their interior
with each new trend
so if you love blue …
keep in mind
that these new warmer blues
can be introduced in the way of accessories …
bottle and flowers …
xx
xxx
or just like in this industrial setting ….
think also cushions, rugs
vases, chairs & lamps.

This church may seem traditional from the outside
but have a look inside …
you may be in for a surprise!
xx
Situated in the Netherlands …
the church has been
stylishly converted into a contemporary home.
x
A streamlined kitchen fits nicely with the design
and a funky red staircase adds fun and interest.
xx
Beside the staircase is the living area
and on the far wall
is a guardian angel illustration …
x
xx
How perfect!

Here is the study …

and such space
can even allow for a swing!

It’s only January …
but I can’t help thinking about
my Autumn Wardrobe.
I’m over last years bootcut jeans
so this Autumn I’m planning to wear
more skinny leg jeans …
The above pic
is the style I’m drawn to this Autumn …
I love the sleeveless longer top
swishy and relaxed
but still fitted to define the waist.
I love that the skinnies are shiny
and the fact that the hem is over the boot
as this helps to elongate the legs
and of course a big bag is a must have!
XX
XX
Here’s the look again
except a little more casual …
a cropped jacket gives definition
to the silhouette
and the vertical hemline
helps to slim the thighs.
I especially love the wedge boots.

and lastly here …
this long lacy tunic top is so pretty …
it softens the look
and is extremely feminine.
I love the low hair bun too.
The black with the bright Orange
is both striking and exciting,
it’s also a great illustration of how …
just as we feel the need
to introduce colour into our homes …
this Autumn 2013 …
Fashion will also see a return to Colour.

Whenever I see an interior that ‘speaks’ to me
I like to ask myself …
what is it about the room that I love ?
This helps me to identify
my own personal style.
Here I love how the room is stylish but relaxed …
not too fussy or formal
and I really love it’s neutral colour palette …
the blue undertoned grey painted lining boards
with the accents of white and natural.
It’s simplistic but girlie
and reflects swedish design
which has to be my all time favourite.
xx
xx
Here I especially love the soft pink in the girlie vest
against the neutral palette background.

Again this room oozes swedish style
with it’s blue grey raked ceiling,
contemporary reading lamp
and the natural elements of coziness
in the woollen cushions, throws and rugs.
XXXxx
When trying to identify your personal style
it’s a good idea to recognise ….
not just the fact that a room appeals to you
but why you find it so appealing.
If you do this continually
you will begin to see a theme …
a theme that represents
your own personal style …
the style that’s right for you.
